How it works

Authors change an SOP directly in the portal. The SOP owner sees every change marked and approves it with a password, or returns it with a note. The owner is never an author of the same SOP, so the four-eyes principle is built in.

Once a version is approved, everyone whose role requires it is notified, signs the new version and can take a short comprehension quiz. Deadlines and overdue sign-offs are visible at a glance, and every person has a printable training record.

Every draft, approval, sign-off and comment is kept in the audit trail. Nothing is ever deleted.

How an SOP changes in OctoSOP: the author writes the draft, the SOP owner reviews and approves (four-eyes), the new version comes into force, readers sign and take a quiz, and every person has a training record. Everything is kept in the audit trail.
